WalletConnect Certified has recognized multiple new projects, including CTRL, Bifrost, Fireblocks, xPortal, and Best, as part of its certification program for wallets that offer a superior user experience. Other new entrants include Arculus Wallet, Rakuten, BitPay, Blockchain.com, and Bitcoin.com, which now join prominent names like Binance Web3 Wallet, MetaMask, and Ledger. This certification aims to establish quality standards to help users identify reliable self-custodial solutions. To qualify, wallets must rank among the top 50 providers based on usage and integrate well with other platforms. The initiative addresses the historically poor user experiences, which have hindered broader adoption of cryptocurrency usage. WalletConnect's founder emphasizes that creating shared expectations for wallet performance enhances trust and usability for all users.
