Wyoming is set to launch its yield-bearing state stablecoin, FRNT, across seven blockchains, including Ethereum and Solana, utilizing LayerZero's technology. This innovative stablecoin is unique to any U.S. state and is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasuries, not adhering to a fixed supply. The Wyoming Stable Token Commission aims to direct some profits from FRNT interest to the Wyoming School Foundation for state-level education. The stablecoin is designed for secure, transparent transactions globally, allowing users to bypass traditional payment providers, albeit with nominal fees. Wyoming's proactive stance in crypto regulation and the potential for FRNT to attract attention from emerging markets seeking access to the U.S. economy have sparked interest. The stablecoin will be available on Kraken shortly and can also be used via a Visa from payments firm Rain. An announcement regarding its wider availability is expected soon.
