WiseLink Becomes First Taiwan-Listed Company To Invest in a Bitcoin Treasury Strategy
WiseLink, a Taiwan-listed company, has led a $10 million fundraising for Top Win International, a Hong Kong luxury watch retailer adopting a Bitcoin treasury strategy. This marks the first instance of a Taiwan-listed firm supporting such a venture. WiseLink's CEO Tsai Kun Huang emphasized that the current economic environment presents a 'golden window' for companies to adopt Bitcoin, which is seen as a decentralized, scarce asset. The partnership involves WiseLink investing in convertible notes worth $2 million, allowing it the option to convert these into equity in the future. Despite its smaller size, Top Win plans to primarily use the funds to purchase Bitcoin, while maintaining its core retail operations. WiseLink's financial health remains robust with positive net income, reinforcing its confidence in the potential of integrating Bitcoin reserves with its financial operations. The move aligns with a broader trend among companies exploring Bitcoin as a means of financial resilience amid economic uncertainty.
