TON offers 10-year UAE golden visa for $100K in staked Toncoin
The Open Network (TON) has launched a new program enabling applicants to obtain a 10-year UAE Golden Visa by staking just $100,000 worth of Toncoin (TON) for three years, along with a one-time processing fee of $35,000. This initiative significantly reduces the usual entry cost of around $540,000 for conventional Golden Visa routes, appealing particularly to crypto investors. Participants can maintain control over their staked assets through a decentralized smart contract on the TON blockchain, with expected annual yields between 3% and 4%. The visa eligibility extends to immediate family members at no extra cost. Despite the attractive offer, some skepticism remains, as it’s noted that this program is not an official partnership with the UAE government but instead facilitated by a third-party provider. Following the announcement, Toncoin's price surged over 10%. This crypto-based residency program aligns with the UAE's efforts to position itself as a global blockchain and crypto hub.
