TON offers 10-year UAE golden visa for $100K in staked Toncoin
The Open Network (TON) has announced a new pathway for obtaining a 10-year Golden Visa in the UAE, requiring only $100,000 in staked Toncoin (TON) for three years, significantly reducing the usual cost. This initiative, which cuts the typical entry fee by 80%, also includes a one-time processing fee of $35,000. The program is designed for crypto investors, who will retain control of their assets during the staking period through a decentralized smart contract on the TON blockchain, with potential annual yields of 3% to 4%. The Golden Visa extends to immediate family members at no extra charge beyond standard fees. Conventional methods generally require a much higher investment in illiquid assets. Following the announcement, the price of Toncoin increased by over 10%. However, some skepticism remains regarding the legitimacy of the program, as it is not an official UAE government partnership and relies on third-party providers. This residency program aligns with the UAE’s ambitions to solidify its status as a destination for blockchain innovation and cryptocurrency projects.
