To the moon? Justin Sun to be launched into space after $28M bid
Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, will be part of Blue Origin's next mission after successfully bidding $28 million for a seat. Announced on a Monday, the mission is set to include Sun and five other crew members aboard the New Shepard rocket. Sun's bid for the first seat in 2021 allowed him to select complementary crew members, presumed to be from the TRON DAO community. However, Sun's spokesperson noted that he hadn’t selected these individuals, who include a real estate investor, a journalist, and a venture capitalist. Blue Origin's 34th mission follows a recent highlight with an all-female crew on a previous flight. Sun's presence in the news also expands beyond cryptocurrency, as he has been associated with Donald Trump through various investments and partnerships, including contributions to Trump’s memecoin. Despite being under investigation by the SEC for alleged market manipulation, Sun recently sought to delay the lawsuit jointly with the SEC. This launch represents a significant chapter in both Sun’s endeavors and the evolution of private space travel.
