Kitboga, who operates as a YouTube and Twitch streamer, devised a fake ATM receipt that scammers believe leads to redeeming Bitcoin from their victims. Over a year, this scheme has ensnared about 500 scammers, with the longest individual case stretching to 156 hours. Inside the scheme, scammers face tedious tasks, including time-wasting CAPTCHAs and confusing automated calls that leave them on hold for hours. Kitboga emphasizes that this approach not only creates entertaining content but is also a resourceful means of gathering intel on malicious actors. His efforts have been effective in thwarting scams and passing critical information to law enforcement, showing a unique method of combating the increasing issue of cryptocurrency scams.
