This week's top U.S. startup funding rounds were dominated by energy and defense tech sectors along with significant investments in AI-driven software solutions for sports, healthcare, and finance. Leading the pack was Terrapower, raising $650 million for nuclear energy projects, with its first project underway in Wyoming. Applied Intuition followed with $600 million for its autonomous vehicle platform, reflecting a massive valuation jump. Teamworks, a sports tech software provider, secured $235 million, enhancing its valuation to $1.2 billion. Tying for fourth place, Ramp and Commure both raised $200 million; Ramp focuses on corporate credit and expense management, while Commure assists healthcare providers with AI note-taking and management services.
