In the past week, major funding rounds in the U.S. remained subdued, largely due to the Fourth of July holiday, but one standout raised a staggering $10 billion. The round led by xAI, notable for its generative AI focus, comprised $5 billion from strategic equity investments and the rest via loans. Other significant funding included Savvy Wealth, which secured $72 million for its AI tools, and Levelpath, which raised $55 million to develop AI procurement solutions. Agtech startup Terrana Biosciences emerged with $50 million for RNA-based agricultural products. Medical technology company Field Medical and enterprise software provider Campfire each garnered $35 million. Syntis Bio raised $33 million for obesity and diabetes oral therapies, while Ambrook collected $26 million for its farming software. Emerging energy software developer Emerald AI secured $24.5 million, and Gallant Therapeutics focused on pet therapies raised $18 million. Alongside these U.S. rounds, international firms also saw significant funding, including a Tel Aviv security provider and a Mexico City banking company, highlighting continued investment in diverse sectors.
