Taiwan’s first Bitcoin treasury Top Win raises $10M for BTC purchases
Top Win International, Taiwan’s inaugural publicly traded corporate Bitcoin treasury, has secured $10 million to initiate its Bitcoin purchases. The funding was primarily sourced from WiseLink, a zipper producer and software company, alongside private investments from notable investors including Chad Koehn, CEO of United Capital Management. WiseLink acquired convertible notes from Top Win, signaling a strategic partnership between the two entities, though details remain undisclosed. The capital raised is set to be used mainly for Bitcoin acquisitions, with potential investments in listed Bitcoin treasury companies. Despite the company's pivot towards Bitcoin, it clarified that it does not aim to operate as an investment firm. Top Win International, previously a luxury watchmaker, is transitioning its focus following collaborations with Sora Ventures and the planned rebranding to AsiaStrategy, reminiscent of the corporate Bitcoin treasury, MicroStrategy. Following the capital raise announcement, Top Win's stock reacted positively, with an initial surge in trading, showcasing investor optimism about its new direction in Bitcoin accumulation.
