Solo Bitcoin Miner Gets Lucky, Scores $347K in BTC
A solo Bitcoin miner recently mined block 913,632, earning a reward of 3.13 BTC valued at approximately $347,872. This marks the second successful mining achievement by an independent miner this month, despite the current mining difficulty reaching record levels of 136.04 trillion. The block comprised 593 transactions totaling 473.61 BTC, with an average transaction size of 0.7987 BTC. In addition to the standard base reward of 3.125 BTC, the miner also collected 0.0042 BTC in transaction fees. This success illustrates the decentralization of the Bitcoin network amidst the dominance of larger mining operations. Such solo mining wins are rare; industry experts indicate they occur about once every eight years. The recent accomplishments are a response to increasing interest and participation in solo mining services like Solo CKPool, which facilitates independent miners entering the competitive landscape of Bitcoin mining.
