SharpLink Gaming has announced that Joseph Chalom, a former digital assets executive at BlackRock, is joining as co-CEO. Chalom was instrumental in the launch of BlackRock’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and managed the firm's digital asset strategy. He expressed enthusiasm about joining SharpLink, emphasizing its mission to leverage Ethereum as a foundational element of global finance. With this transition, current CEO Rob Phythian will shift to the role of president. SharpLink Gaming aims to enhance shareholder value by utilizing its Ethereum treasury strategy, which involves staking and generating yields. The company currently holds over 360,000 ETH valued at more than $1.3 billion, furthering its efforts to bridge institutional investment with Ethereum-based opportunities. However, on the announcement day, SharpLink's stock experienced a decline of over 6%.
