Joseph Chalom, the former head of digital assets strategy at BlackRock, has joined SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom was instrumental in launching BlackRock's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. He announced his career shift after two decades at BlackRock, emphasizing his belief in Ethereum as a cornerstone of global finance. His move validates SharpLink's ETH treasury strategy, which focuses on utilizing Ethereum for long-term shareholder value through yield-bearing methods. SharpLink holds over 360,000 ETH, valued at more than $1.3 billion, and recently acquired nearly 80,000 ETH while planning a stock sale to raise up to $6 billion for further ETH purchases. Despite the positive leadership change, SharpLink's stock experienced a drop exceeding 6% on the announcement day, continuing a downward trend over the past week.
