Joseph Chalom, BlackRock's former head of digital assets strategy, has joined SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom, who played a significant role in launching BlackRock's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, announced his new position on social media, expressing enthusiasm for SharpLink's vision of utilizing Ethereum in global finance. Under his leadership, SharpLink aims to enhance shareholder value through Ethereum staking and yield strategies. The firm holds over 360,000 ETH valued at more than $1.3 billion and recently acquired an additional 80,000 ETH. SharpLink plans to raise up to $6 billion through a stock sale to fund further ETH purchases. Meanwhile, shares of SharpLink Gaming have seen a decline of over 6% on the announcement day.
