Joseph Chalom, the former digital assets head at BlackRock, is joining SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom played a key role in launching BlackRock's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and intends to leverage his experience to advance SharpLink's Ethereum treasury strategy. In a public statement, he expressed confidence that Ethereum is becoming integral to global finance. Alongside Chalom's appointment, Rob Phythian will transition to president. SharpLink, which holds over 360,000 ETH valued at more than $1.3 billion, has expanded its treasury by acquiring additional ETH and plans to raise up to $6 billion to fuel further purchases. SharpLink aims to create avenues for institutional capital to engage with Ethereum-native yield.
