Joseph Chalom, former head of digital assets strategy at BlackRock, has joined SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom played a key role in launching BlackRock’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and will help steer SharpLink's Ethereum treasury strategy. He expressed a strong belief in Ethereum as a foundational element of global finance. Alongside Chalom, current CEO Rob Phythian will transition to the role of president. SharpLink, which holds over 360,000 ETH valued at more than $1.3 billion, plans to raise up to $6 billion through stock sales to further acquire ETH. Chalom's addition is seen as a significant validation of SharpLink’s strategy and its commitment to creating shareholder value through yield-bearing Ethereum assets. Despite these developments, shares of SharpLink Gaming dropped over 6% on the day of the announcement, continuing a losing streak in recent trading sessions.
