SharpLink Gaming has announced the appointment of Joseph Chalom as co-CEO, following his departure from BlackRock, where he was instrumental in launching the firm’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. Chalom, who spearheaded BlackRock's digital assets strategy, expressed enthusiasm for SharpLink’s vision of Ethereum as a foundational element of global finance. Current CEO Rob Phythian will transition to the role of president as Chalom steps into his new position. SharpLink, which manages over 360,000 ETH worth over $1.3 billion, aims to enhance shareholder value through various yield-bearing strategies involving Ethereum. This move comes as BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF has demonstrated significant growth, reaching $10 billion in assets within a short period. Despite this positive news, SharpLink's shares dropped over 6% to $21.89, marking a 31% decline over the last five days of trading.
