Joseph Chalom, the former digital assets executive at BlackRock, has joined SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom, who played a crucial role in launching BlackRock's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, announced the transition after a 20-year career with the financial giant. He expressed a strong belief in Ethereum's potential to become the cornerstone of global finance. With Chalom's appointment, SharpLink aims to enhance its long-term value proposition by leveraging Ethereum through various yield-generating strategies. The company recently acquired nearly 80,000 ETH and holds over 360,000 ETH altogether. This move comes as BlackRock's Ethereum ETF, the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), achieves a milestone of $10 billion in assets—marking the third-fastest ascent to that point in ETF history. Shares of SharpLink Gaming have decreased by over 6% following Chalom's announcement, but the company remains committed to its strategy of driving transformative change through Ethereum in the digital economy.
