SharpLink Nabs BlackRock Exec Who Helped Launch Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs
Joseph Chalom, previously the head of digital assets strategy at BlackRock, has joined SharpLink Gaming as its co-CEO. Chalom, known for his role in launching BlackRock's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, announced his transition on social media, expressing belief in Ethereum as a foundation for global finance. He will succeed Rob Phythian, who will take on the role of president. SharpLink Chairman Joseph Lubin remarked on Chalom's influence in advancing institutional adoption of digital assets, highlighting the significance of his joining. SharpLink aims to utilize Ethereum as a productive asset through staking strategies and holds over 360,000 ETH valued at $1.3 billion. Recently, it acquired nearly 80,000 ETH and plans to raise up to $6 billion to expand its treasury.
