Joseph Chalom, the former head of digital assets strategy at BlackRock, has joined SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom was instrumental in the launch of BlackRock’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and aims to leverage his experience to enhance SharpLink’s Ethereum treasury initiatives. Following his departure from BlackRock, where he worked for 20 years, he expressed strong support for Ethereum, asserting it as a key component in reshaping global finance. With Chalom's arrival, current CEO Rob Phythian will transition to the role of president. SharpLink is committed to increasing shareholder value by utilizing Ethereum for staking and yield strategies. The company holds over 360,000 ETH valued at approximately $1.3 billion and has aggressive plans for expansion, including a recent stock sale aimed at raising up to $6 billion for further ETH acquisition. Meanwhile, SharpLink Gaming's stock has seen a decline of over 6% on the day.
