SharpLink buys $54M in ETH, holdings reach $1.65B
SharpLink has acquired an additional 15,822 ETH, valued at approximately $53.9 million, as part of its ongoing strategy to accumulate Ether. This latest purchase raises SharpLink's total Ether holdings to 480,031 ETH, amounting to around $1.65 billion at current market prices. The company's recent buying spree occurred over a span of 48 hours, during which it spent $108.57 million in USDC to add 30,755 ETH at an average price of $3,530. Notably, on Thursday, SharpLink purchased 11,259 ETH at an average of $3,828 each. The aggressive accumulation comes amid growing corporate interest in Ethereum, with other entities like The Ether Machine reporting significant purchases as well, reinforcing Ethereum's status as a key asset in corporate treasuries. The increased buy-ins reflect a shift among corporations viewing Ethereum not merely as a digital currency but as a hybrid of technology equity and digital asset. With Ethereum's dominance in tokenized assets, it is becoming the reserve currency of choice for many firms in the finance sector.
