Joseph Chalom, formerly BlackRock’s head of digital assets strategy, has joined SharpLink Gaming as co-CEO. Chalom played a key role in launching BlackRock's Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs and now aims to leverage Ethereum's potential as a foundational asset for global finance at SharpLink. With his leadership, Rob Phythian, the current CEO, will transition to president. Chalom's move is seen as a significant endorsement of SharpLink's strategy as the firm holds over 360,000 ETH, valued at approximately $1.3 billion. The company aims to raise up to $6 billion to expand its Ethereum treasury further. SharpLink's stock has faced volatility, dropping over 6% recently, despite Chalom projecting it as a bridge connecting institutional capital with Ethereum-native yield opportunities.
