Scaramucci's SkyBridge Capital to Tokenize $300 Million on Avalanche
SkyBridge Capital, led by Anthony Scaramucci, is planning to tokenize $300 million in assets on the Avalanche blockchain, which would nearly double Avalanche's tokenized assets. This initiative comes during a significant growth in the real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market, which has increased by 64.7% in 2025, evidencing a strong demand for enhanced transparency and investor accessibility. SkyBridge intends to tokenize two funds: one focused solely on cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, and another, a fund of funds comprising venture and crypto assets. The firm is collaborating with Tokeny, a specialist in institutional asset tokenization. Speaking at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, Scaramucci emphasized the importance of whether tokenization can surpass existing financial systems by offering swifter, more cost-effective, and secure transactions. The RWA tokenization process transforms physical assets like bonds and real estate into digital tokens tradable on a blockchain. Major players in traditional finance are also exploring this area as they see a potential for reduced intermediaries and improved transparency.
