Michael Saylor, co-founder of Strategy, has indicated a potential Bitcoin purchase, which would mark the company's third BTC acquisition in August 2025. On August 18, Strategy bought 430 BTC for $51.4 million, increasing its total holdings to 629,376 BTC, valued at over $72 billion. Despite these purchases, which are relatively modest compared to previous large-scale acquisitions, the company maintains a significant position as the largest BTC treasury holder. Strategy's corporate treasurer noted that their method of acquiring Bitcoin does not disturb market prices, as buys occur through private agreements rather than open exchanges. This strategy continues even as share prices for Strategy have dropped recently. While the company's stock hit a low of $325 per share, it subsequently rebounded to around $358. The ongoing purchases are seen as a way to position the company strategically in the long-term Bitcoin landscape despite short-term market fluctuations.
