A statue honoring Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, has been stolen from Parco Ciani in Lugano, Switzerland. The group Satoshigallery, responsible for the statue, is offering a reward of 0.1 BTC (worth over $11,000) for information leading to its recovery. The statue, which features a faceless figure at a laptop and symbolizes Bitcoin's anonymity, was designed by artist Valentina Picozzi and unveiled in October last year during the Plan B Forum. Despite the theft, Satoshigallery reiterated its commitment to place statues in 21 cities globally. Lugano's Mayor Michele Foletti described the piece as a reflection of the city's push for digital innovation. The statue's design represents that 'we are all Satoshi' and took 18 months of conceptualization and three months of construction.
