Samsung Partners With Decentralized AI Healthcare Protocol Galeon
Samsung has partnered with decentralized science protocol Galeon to enhance AI features in its ultrasound devices by supplying anonymized AI training data. The partnership was announced recently, confirming that Samsung will integrate its ultrasound equipment with Galeon’s electronic health record (EHR) platform, which is already in use across 18 hospitals in France. The initiative aims to improve medical data availability while ensuring a privacy-first approach. As noted by Galeon CEO Loïc Brotons, the data will not be stored on-chain; instead, the AI algorithms will operate on-chain with complete traceability. All data will be anonymized prior to training, allowing healthcare providers to train AI models while maintaining control over patient information. This collaboration emphasizes the growing trend of decentralizing healthcare technology, responding to increased interest in decentralized science (DeSci) as a means to innovate within the medical field, especially in drug development.
