Raoul Pal sees crypto users hitting a whopping 4B by 2030
Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision, predicts the number of cryptocurrency users could reach 4 billion by 2030. He compared crypto adoption to internet usage, noting that the total crypto user base has experienced significant growth, reaching around 659 million by the end of 2024, with an annual growth rate of 137%. Pal expects this growth to continue at a more moderate pace of 43% in the coming year, estimating the user base will reach 1 billion by 2030, which would represent one-eighth of the global population. Additionally, he forecasts that the total market capitalization of crypto could surpass $100 trillion within the next decade, potentially by 2032, attributing this growth to trends of adoption and currency debasement. However, some skepticism exists regarding Pal's estimates, with critics pointing out that the number of wallets doesn't necessarily reflect genuine user growth. Despite this, Pal argues that most people actually hold multiple crypto wallets, similar to having multiple IP addresses.
