Pump.fun’s New Fee Model Hands Out $2M to Creators in First 24 Hours
Pump.fun has launched a dynamic fee model aimed at drastically increasing the earnings of creators on its platform. In the first 24 hours after implementing this model, $2 million was distributed to creators, a significant increase compared to only $198,000 paid out under the previous structure. The new model allows creators to earn a percentage of trading fees based on the market cap of their tokens, with higher fees for tokens between $88,000 and $300,000. This shift is seen as a potential game-changer in the livestreaming space, offering small creators better financial opportunities than traditional platforms such as Twitch and Kick. Streamers have reported significant increases in earnings, with one stating that their monthly income could now surpass a whole year’s income on Twitch. As creators leverage this new incentive plan, the community on Pump.fun continues to grow, drawing comparisons to established livestreaming platforms and positioning Pump.fun as a viable competitor in the crypto livestreaming ecosystem.
