Billions Network has launched a mobile identity app for Android and iOS that enables AI-resistant, privacy-preserving verification through NFC-based document checks and zero-knowledge proofs. The app was developed in response to growing concerns over AI's ability to manipulate traditional verification methods, such as generating fake IDs for KYC checks. Unlike many verification systems, Billions' app does not rely on proprietary hardware or invasive biometric data, requiring only liveliness checks. Utilizing NFC technology in passports and ID cards, it ensures user data remains private and secure. Initial features include document verification and support for institutional KYC processes. Future upgrades will introduce a web wallet and a verifiable KYC service for institutions. Data management balances local storage and end-to-end encrypted cloud solutions, with user identity data remaining offchain and protected by personal private keys. As the app evolves, it aims to facilitate safe digital identities without compromising user privacy.
