Metaplanet, the fifth largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, recently acquired an additional 1,005 BTC, raising its total holdings to 13,350 BTC. The firm, which is listed in Tokyo, is also issuing $208 million in 0% interest bonds as part of its strategy to enhance its Bitcoin acquisition efforts. This move comes alongside a larger initiative to raise $515 million through equity capital. The price of Bitcoin at the time of the announcement was trading at $108,250. Known for its commitment to holding Bitcoin (HODLing), Metaplanet is evolving its financial strategy amid the growing interest in cryptocurrency investment among corporations.
