Metaplanet has acquired an additional 136 bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to over 20,000 BTC, valued at approximately $2.06 billion. The acquisition was completed at an average price of just under $112,000 per bitcoin, making the firm's total investment in BTC exceed $2 billion. Furthermore, Metaplanet's BTC yield metric has shown significant growth, with a rise of 129.4% in Q2 and 30.8% in Q3 to date. As a result, it has become the sixth-largest publicly traded company holding bitcoin. Collectively, the top public companies hold over 1 million BTC, led by MicroStrategy. Despite this growth in asset acquisition, Metaplanet's share value has declined over 30% in the past month due to a modest decrease in bitcoin prices and a reduction in the company’s market-to-net-asset value ratio.
