Korean Air has entered a partnership with Swedish startup Wingbits for integrating encrypted flight-tracking data to enhance its air traffic coordination. The collaboration aims to improve the airline’s research and development capabilities by utilizing real-time ADS-B data across multiple regions, including Korea, North America, and Europe. This data will support Korean Air's exploration of advanced air mobility, which includes the use of drones and eVTOL taxis. Wingbits operates a decentralized network that rewards data contributors with tokens, promoting better coverage and reliable data sharing. This partnership represents Wingbits’ first alliance with a major airline, signaling a shift toward decentralized infrastructure within the aviation sector. Despite significant inflows into Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, their prices remain volatile, while gold continues to reach record highs amid economic uncertainties. Investors remain cautious as they monitor the evolving market landscape.
