Kevin Durant has successfully regained access to his Coinbase account, as confirmed by the crypto exchange. The incident came to light when Durant's agent, Rich Kleiman, humorously shared at a conference that Durant struggled to retrieve his account information. This account was established nearly a decade ago when Durant purchased Bitcoin for the first time, back in 2016, at about $600 per coin. Kleiman noted that they had been collaborating with Coinbase to resolve the issue, attributing the problem to a user error. Durant's foray into Bitcoin stemmed from a conversation during a birthday celebration that highlighted the cryptocurrency's potential. Currently, Bitcoin trades at around $117,100, showcasing a growth of over 950% in five years, as more athletes, including other NBA players, increasingly invest in digital assets. Durant, now playing for the Houston Rockets, is part of a broader trend among professionals advocating for cryptocurrency investments.
