Grayscale Launches Two Trusts Linked to Sui Ecosystem Protocols
Grayscale has introduced two single-asset trusts focused on the Sui ecosystem, namely DeepBook and Walrus, as part of their investment offerings for accredited investors. DeepBook is an on-chain order book with over $10 billion processed in volume and Walrus serves as a platform for programmable data storage. The launch coincides with a notable increase in activity on the Sui network, which has seen its total value locked reach a high of $2.3 billion. The trusts provide unprecedented exposure to the Sui ecosystem for institutions and retail investors, facilitated by features such as Sui's high-throughput and low latency transaction processing. Grayscale’s head of product and research, Rayhaneh Sharif-Askary, emphasized the significance of these protocols for developers aiming to create decentralized applications. The venture appears to reflect growing institutional interest in the blockchain space, as evidenced by other recent funding efforts in the Sui ecosystem.
