Gemini has surpassed Coinbase in the US Apple App Store’s finance category following the launch of a limited edition XRP-rewards credit card in partnership with Ripple Labs and Mastercard. This recent development sees Gemini moving to 16th place in the finance app rankings, while Coinbase fell to 20th, despite Coinbase having a significantly larger daily trading volume of $4.54 billion compared to Gemini's $382.49 million. Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini, noted the importance of this milestone on social media, referring to the phenomenon as 'the flippening.' Prior to this, Gemini was ranked at 117th place in the finance category, showing a remarkable rise in popularity. The increase in Gemini's ranking is attributed to several factors, including keyword optimization, downloads, user reviews, app performance, and retention, as reflected in App Store analytics. Meanwhile, Gemini is also preparing for a major public offering on the Nasdaq, which marks a significant growth for the exchange.
