He engaged with the ASITC, which promoted a signal trading method, where ‘professors’ provided specific trade instructions. Firestone's initial investment saw a dramatic increase, leading him to invest more, but losses followed when a significant trade failed to execute due to a supposed 'system error.' The lawsuit claims ASITC, CoinBridge, and associated individuals committed fraud and racketeering. Despite his claims, the actual CoinBridge Partners in Wyoming denies any connection to the scam. This incident reflects ongoing concerns regarding crypto-related scams, especially as phishing attacks accounted for over $1 billion in losses in 2024.
