Ex-White House director Bo Hines appointed as Tether strategic advisor
Tether has appointed Bo Hines, the former executive director of the White House Crypto Council, as its new strategic advisor for digital assets and U.S. strategy. This move indicates Tether's intent to strengthen its presence in the U.S. market and invest in domestic infrastructure. Hines, who served under President Donald Trump, was involved in initiatives aimed at fostering digital asset innovation and establishing regulations for stablecoin issuers. In his role, Hines will work closely with Tether's leadership to facilitate market entry in the U.S. and build constructive relationships with policymakers. According to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, Hines's expertise will be critical as the company seeks to expand its U.S. operations. Tether has reportedly reinvested nearly $5 billion into the U.S. economy, and Hines's appointment is expected to bolster these commitments.
