An Ethereum address holding 900 ETH has moved the coins after nearly 10 years of HODLing, having received them in 2015 when ETH was priced at less than 50 cents. These were 'genesis' coins, originally distributed to early contributors before Ethereum mining began. The recent transaction represents one of several involving long-term crypto holders, including an April sale of $27.6 million worth of Ethereum and a recent $8 billion Bitcoin move after 14 years. Currently, ETH is trading at approximately $2,529, down almost 2% in the last 24 hours and about 48% below its 2021 all-time high of $4,878. Moreover, there is a noted contrast in behaviors between Bitcoin and Ethereum whales; while Bitcoin holders have been accumulating, Ethereum whales have reportedly sold off significant amounts of ETH since 2020.
