Etherealize secures $40 million to bring Ethereum to Wall Street
Etherealize has successfully raised $40 million to enhance the adoption of Ethereum among Wall Street institutions. This funding round was led by venture firms Paradigm and Electric Capital, with early backing from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and the Ethereum Foundation, which provided an initial grant. The investment involves both equity and token warrants. Etherealize's aim is to tokenize financial assets, such as mortgages and credit products, thereby shifting away from outdated systems like phone-based trading and faxed settlements. CEO Vivek Raman, who has a background with prestigious firms like Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Deutsche Bank, emphasized the company's mission to resolve inefficiencies in institutional finance using blockchain technology.
