Ether whales have added 14% more coins since April price lows
Ether whales have significantly increased their holdings of ETH, amassing 14% more coins since the token reached a yearly low of $1,472 in April, according to data from Santiment. This accumulation occurred within a five-month period, as whale holders, defined as those with between 1,000 and 100,000 ETH, valued between approximately $4.41 million and $440.81 million, ramped up buying amidst a bullish market sentiment. Despite the overall upward trend, some whales sold near the bottom only to buy back in as prices rose. The increase in ETH's price, now at $4,376, is attributed to factors such as increased ETF inflows and purchases from treasury firms. Currently, Ethereum treasury firms hold about $15.83 billion worth of ETH, representing nearly 3% of the total supply. Predictions for ETH's price suggest it could soar as high as $15,000 by the end of the year, although some analysts caution that attention may eventually shift back to Bitcoin as institutional interest grows towards BTC over ETH.
