Emirates airline has signed a memorandum of understanding with Crypto.com to integrate crypto payments into its payment infrastructure, with implementation expected in 2026. The MoU was confirmed during a ceremony attended by prominent figures, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. This collaboration aims to align with Dubai's ambition to lead in financial innovation and enhance customer transaction choices. In addition to payment integration, Emirates and Crypto.com will also work on promotional campaigns to increase user adoption of the crypto payment option. This partnership comes amid Dubai's ongoing efforts to solidify itself as a central hub for blockchain and digital assets, fostering a pro-innovation regulatory environment. Recent initiatives in the emirate include allowing stablecoins for real estate transactions and promoting real estate tokenization, positioning Dubai as a significant player in digital finance.
