Elon Musk’s SpaceX Moves Bitcoin Holdings for First Time in 3 Years
SpaceX has transferred $153 million worth of Bitcoin to a single wallet, its first such movement in three years. This consolidation involved 1,308 BTC being moved from 16 separate addresses to a single SegWit-compatible address, according to Arkham Intelligence. Currently, the company holds 8,285 Bitcoin, which amounts to nearly $990 million. The last time SpaceX made a Bitcoin transaction was in June 2022, when it sent over 3,500 BTC to Coinbase. The reasons behind this recent transaction remain unclear, as a request for comment from SpaceX was not returned. Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, has faced recent public issues, including a feud with U.S. President Donald Trump, which raised investor concerns about SpaceX’s financial stability. Nevertheless, the firm is planning a stock sale aimed at raising about $1 billion, potentially increasing its value to $400 billion. Bitcoin's market performance has seen it trading around $119,800, showing a 21% increase over the last month.
