Drip Shop Live launches Instant Packs for trading cards
Drip Shop Live, a new platform for trading cards, has launched Instant Packs, allowing users to open physical card packs online at any time, rather than during specific sales or auctions. The packs, which include cards from popular IPs like Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, aim to replicate the experience of physically opening card packs, with physical cards shipped to buyers. Users can purchase both unopened packs and individual cards using crypto or fiat currency. The platform has a mobile app designed for livestreaming, appealing to both influencers and collectors. Although the current offerings are not NFTs, Drip is exploring blockchain integration and has a pilot planned with Ronin. The platform also features a synthetic currency called Driplets for rewards and giveaways, indicating potential future developments towards a social token. Instant Packs currently focus on cards, but there are possibilities for expanding into other collectibles.
