DeFi will become the default financial interface
Vikram Arun, co-founder and CEO of Superform, argues that for DeFi to truly revolutionize finance, it must simplify its complex processes. Currently, the fragmentation of DeFi requires users to juggle multiple applications and protocols, which complicates the user experience. Arun proposes a paradigm shift involving the creation of 'hyperstructures'—decentralized, permissionless protocols that empower builders and users alike. Alongside these hyperstructures, 'superapps' could streamline the fragmented DeFi landscape into a cohesive, user-friendly experience. These superapps would integrate discovery of various earning opportunities and simplify execution into singular transactions. The aim is to align hyperstructures, which form the resilient infrastructure, with superapps that enhance user experience, ensuring that the core principles of decentralization and permissionlessness are upheld. If implemented well, DeFi could transform into a seamless financial interface, akin to the evolution of video streaming protocols in the past, making transactions feel as simple as using traditional money, all on open and transparent networks.
