Crypto treasuries top $100B for Ethereum’s 10th anniversary
Ethereum's 10th anniversary was highlighted by a surge in institutional crypto adoption, with corporate crypto treasuries surpassing $100 billion in investments. Analysts from Standard Chartered noted that corporate interest in Ether has grown significantly, with the potential for corporations to hold 10% of the total Ether supply, surpassing a projected price of $4,000 per Ether by year-end. Ether treasury firms currently hold 1.3 million ETH, valued at over $4 billion. Additionally, the report indicated that crypto treasury holdings are diversifying beyond Bitcoin, with firms like Phoenix Group establishing strategic digital asset reserves. Meanwhile, Japanese investment firm Metaplanet plans to raise $3.73 billion to enhance their Bitcoin acquisition, aiming for a total of 210,000 BTC by 2027. The continued growth in corporate treasury investments, alongside Ethereum’s enduring significance in the DeFi space, underscores a robust shift towards broader digital asset adoption within institutional finance.
