Crypto millionaires at record level with ‘watershed year for institutional adoption’
The number of crypto millionaires has increased by 40% over the past year, reaching 241,700, largely due to institutional adoption and a Bitcoin price rally that helped the crypto market's valuation surpass $3.3 trillion by mid-2025. The count of crypto centimillionaires (those with over $100 million in crypto) rose by 38% to 450, while the number of billionaires increased by 29%, totaling 36. This trend reflects a significant year for institutional adoption, driven by favorable policies from the Trump administration that boosted Wall Street's confidence in investing. Notably, Bitcoin millionaires surged by 70% to 145,100, while Bitcoin centimillionaires grew by 63% to 254, and billionaires rose by 55% to 17. Despite this growth, total crypto user adoption increased only by 5%, reaching 590 million. Singapore, Hong Kong, and the US are currently primary destinations for crypto migration according to Henley & Partners' Crypto Adoption Index, which considers various factors including regulation and economic conditions.
