Australian crypto billionaire Tim Heath narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt in Estonia last year. He was attacked by two men posing as painters who tried to force him into a van. In the struggle, Heath bit off part of one assailant's finger and managed to escape to his apartment. The attackers fled, abandoning their van, and part of the severed finger was later found nearby. Heath reportedly lost a tooth in the 30-second encounter. The kidnappers had been stalking him, using GPS to track his movements and preparing for the attack by acquiring painters' uniforms. The plan was to demand a Bitcoin ransom after kidnapping him. Two men were arrested in connection with the plot, but they have denied involvement. Weeks later, Heath received further threats, prompting him to spend over $3.1 million on private security and seek reimbursement from the accused kidnappers.
