CleanSpark mines 685 BTC in June, scales hashrate 145% YoY
CleanSpark achieved a significant milestone by reaching an operational hashrate of 50 EH/s in June, a 145.1% increase from 20.4 EH/s a year earlier. The company mined 685 BTC valued at approximately $74.2 million, reflecting a 50% growth year-over-year despite the challenges faced by BTC miners post-halving. After selling 578 BTC in June, CleanSpark's total Bitcoin holdings are now 12,608 BTC, placing it seventh among publicly traded companies. CEO Zach Bradford highlighted the team's efforts in expanding capacity across multiple states, with a 9.6% month-over-month growth. However, the company's shares dropped by 8% amidst a broader market decline and increasing financial pressures from rising mining difficulty and operational costs. Despite the hurdles, CleanSpark's proactive strategies are positioning it as a strong player in the Bitcoin mining sector, where corporate acquisitions of Bitcoin continue to rise.
