Bybit to Host PUMP Token Sale, But Europe Users Barred
Bybit has confirmed the upcoming Pump.fun token sale, scheduled for July 12–15, but European users will be excluded due to regulatory restrictions stemming from the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The sale will offer 150 billion PUMP tokens, which represents 15% of the total supply, at a price of $0.004 USDT per token. Bybit, the leading exchange by trading volume, is the sole platform facilitating this sale and will accept subscriptions in USDt Tether, USDC, and Solana-native assets. Pump.fun, established in January 2024, has gained traction by allowing users to create and trade memecoins without coding experience. Its user-friendly interface and engaging mechanics have catalyzed significant on-chain activity. The sale's details have generated considerable interest, despite the exclusion of EU-based participants due to compliance requirements.
