Bybit and OKX Launch MiCA-Compliant Platforms in Europe
Crypto exchanges Bybit and OKX have both launched fully regulated platforms in Europe, capitalizing on the regulatory clarity provided by the MiCA framework. Bybit.eu, which serves European Economic Area (EEA) users, operates under a Crypto-Asset Service Provider license and is licensed across 29 EEA countries. Meanwhile, OKX has launched a centralized exchange in France, marking a significant milestone in its European expansion. Bybit.eu offers multilingual support and plans to aggregate liquidity while providing advanced trading tools for European users. OKX's platform features euro trading pairs, staking products, and localized customer support. These launches follow MiCA's implementation on December 30, 2024, which standardizes crypto regulation across the EU and allows licensed firms to operate in any EEA country with a passporting mechanism. The EEA is seeing increased activity as more firms establish compliant operations in the area, reinforcing Europe's position in the global crypto landscape.
